Clustering meeting with eCAP sister project TeleGraft

On 30 May, eCAP coordination and management partners held an introductory meeting with the members from its sister project – TeleGraft. Both projects are funded under the same Horizon Europe call, which is dedicated to smart medical devices and their surgical implantation for use in resource-constrained settings (HORIZON-HLTH-2021-TOOL-06-01).

Coordinated by Professor Jes S. Lindholt and University of Southern Denmark, TeleGraft focuses on telemonitoring of home dialysis by developing a smart biomimetic arteriovenous graft to overcome the currently high complication rates. Like in eCAP, the project consortium intends to integrate the use of smart sensors and artificial intelligence to increase the availability of safe and high-quality health care services.

The online meeting between the teams was dedicated to introducing the project concepts and identifying ways for future cooperation. Apart from mapping the challenges related to the ambitious technologies used, common ground was found regarding addressing the ethical implications of the projects.

Thank you TeleGraft team for sharing your ambition and knowledge with us. We look forward to our future collaboration!
