eCAP at International Congress on Innovation for Global Surgery

Our partner Operating Theatre Practitioners Association of Kenya (OTPAK) and coordinator Institute of Image-Guided Surgery (IHU Strasbourg) will kick of eCAP training activities in Kenya at the 2nd International Congress on Innovation for Global Surgery (ICIGS).

Professors Adrian Park and Pankaj Jani from OTPAK together with Professor Lee Swanstrom from IHU will be leading a workshop to train Kenyan clinicians in flexible endoscopy. This gold-standard intervention currently remains inaccessible to most patients in Kenya and sub-Saharan Africa. Training the local surgeons will help to set the scene for eCAP clinical trials in Kenya in 2025 and contribute to making digestive disease care more accessible globally.
