Meet us at MEDICA 2025!
MEDICA is the world’s largest event for the medical sector. It attracts several thousand exhibitors from more than 50 countries in its halls. Each year, leading individuals from the fields of business, research, and politics grace this top-class event with their presence. This year, eCAP consortium will attend MEDICA 2025 fair and will exhibit a prototype of the smart capsule, the patient app and the e-health platform at the Digital Health Hall in AMIRES booth (H12.G41).
eCAP capsule is the first smart capsule using Bluetooth for GI remote monitoring. This is a major advantage compared to current technologies as it facilitates wireless communication between a Bluetooth enabled smartphone and the capsule. The capsule integrates pH, temperature and flow sensors, a battery and the Bluetooth antenna. The data read by the capsule is first transmitted to the patient’s smartphone to then be shared with the clinician via eCAP e-health platform.
Together with the data read by the capsule (pH, temperature and flow), the e-Health platform collects information reported by the patient in a dedicated app. This information includes meals, symptoms and resting time. Capsule and patient reported data is then automatically analysed to provide to the clinician a diagnosis report.
